Two men charged with rob­bery

TWO MEN have been charged with rob­bery and re­manded in cus­tody af­ter a ve­hi­cle was stolen in Iver.

Martin Caw­ley, 18, of High Street, Sut­ton Benger, Chip­pen­ham, and 20-year-old Pa­trick Power, of Lins­don Close, Wem­b­ley, were ar­rested on Mon­day May 16 and charged with rob­bery and other of­fences on Wednesday May 18.

The rob­bery charge is in con­nec­tion with an in­ci­dent in Welles­ley Av­enue, Iver, which hap­pened at around 1.45pm on May 12.

Caw­ley is also charged with six counts of bur­glary in con­nec­tion with in­ci­dents out­side of the Thames Val­ley area, in­clud­ing four of­fences in Hert­ford­shire.

Pa­trick is charged with four counts of bur­glary in con­nec­tion with in­ci­dents in Hert­ford­shire.

The pair are also jointly charged with go­ing equipped to steal.

Both men ap­peared be­fore Hat­field Re­mand Court on Thurs­day May 19 where they were re­manded in cus­tody.

They will ap­pear be­fore St Al­bans Crown Court on June 16.
