FAMILIES had fun at a charity event that raised money for a new clubhouse for a Chesham sports team.

Chesham Stags hosted its first ever family fun day at Hazeldene Farm, in Asheridge Road , Chesham, on Sunday (May 22).

The event was organised to help raise funds for the Stags’ new £450,000 clubhouse.

There was a host of activities for all ages including a climbing wall, children’s rides, inflatables, races, games, stalls, tug-of-war, a tractor pull, zorbing, vintage cars and tractors, face painting, food, craft and produce stalls and a bar.

The rugby club shared its home with Chiltern Hills Academy for 19 years before voluntarily giving it up in 2012 so the school in Chartridge Lane, Chesham, could expand.

It is currently renting accommodation at the school but it is fundraising for a new purpose built clubhouse.
