Link road to close for repairs

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - NEWS -

A MAJOR road linking two villages will face daytime road closures as Transport for Bucks (TfB) repair the roads.

Motorists have been warned that the A413 London Road/Amersham Road from the 30mph speed limit in Chalfont St Giles to the 30mph speed limit in Chalfont St Peter will be shut on Saturday July 2 and Sunday July 3 from 8.30am to 6.30pm.

The work will be carried out as part of TfB’s Capital Road Investment Programme and is the second phase of works on that stretch of road.

TfB say today (Thursday) is the last day that temporary traffic lights, in operation between 9.30am and 3.30pm as the first phase of road works is carried out, will be used.

Information signs will be put up before each phase giving the durations and dates but TfB warn works are weather dependant.

If they are delayed signs on site will be updated to reflect any change in dates.

TfB warn access for residents could be delayed and apologise for any inconvenience and they have asked that vehicles are not parked on the road and/or footway as this would cause an obstruction.

Visit uk/transport for more information.
