THE ABBEYFIELD Beaconsfield Society’s biennial golf day has been hailed as a ‘super’ day.

It was held at the Beaconsfield Golf Club and in support of Bradbury House which provides residential and day care facilities in the heart of Beaconsfield Old Town.

Golfers of all standards signed up to play in the afternoon and were joined by their guests in the evening for an excellent dinner.

Roger Dakin, the former England hockey team goalkeeper, was the guest speaker and also assisted with a fundraising auction in support of the Home.

Trustee Richard Mann, Bradbury House’s honorary treasurer coordinated the day’s proceedings.

He said: “We had a super day while raising significant funds for our Supporting Care Fund which aims to provide financial assistance to residents and day care facility users alike.”
