Property prices rising £160 a day
HOUSE prices in South Bucks rose by £169 a day over the year until April 2016.
Property prices in the district have risen by 12 per cent to an average of £574,569, or at a rate of £169 per day.
The highest percentage increase in Bucks was in Aylesbury Vale where house prices have risen by 16 per cent in a year.
The average price in the area is now more than £300,000 according to the new official house price index, as prices have risen 15.7 per cent from £262,706, in April 2015, to £303,834, in April 2016, or by an average of £113 a day.
UK average house prices have increased by 8.2 per cent in the year to April 2016 (down from 8.5 per cent in the year to March 2016), continuing the strong growth seen since the end of 2013.
The average UK house price was £209,000 in April 2016. This is £16,000 higher than in April 2015.
London was the region which showed the highest annual growth, with prices increasing by 14.5 per cent in the year to April 2016.
The east of England (13.6 per cent) and the south east (12.3 per cent) also had high annual growth.
The lowest annual growth was in the north east, where prices increased by 0.1 per cent.
