Now Beaconsfield is ready for big day
AS BEACONSFIELD prepares for one of the biggest community events of the year, we take a look at everything there is on offer for the day out.
Taking place on Saturday (June 18), from 11am until 2pm on the town council green, Beaconsfield Now promises to be an informative day out where attendees can learn all about the different community groups in the town. Along with the stalls, there will be a bouncy castle and a climb the fire engine. People will also be able to resuscitate Annie with the St John Ambulance shoot a goal and listen to some great music.
Confirmed stallholders include wildlife groups – Friends of Holtspur Bank, Butterfly Conservation, Beaconsfield Donkey Derby supported by the Lions, Blue Cross – the rehoming or adoption of pets – and master composters.
There will also be groups to inform and teach new skills such as Beaconsfield Library, Beaconsfield Model Railway Club, University of the Third Age, WEA, WI and the Beaconsfield and District Historical Society with their new archive website
Groups to develop our creative side include NADFAS, The Young Theatre, girl guides and scouts. Caring groups will be Carers Trust Central and South Bucks, MacMillan Cancer Support, Brain Tumour Research, Beaconsfield Friends of Cancer Research, Abbeyfields Bradbury House care for the elderly, School Aid, the Royal Artillery Association, the Jordan’s and District Rotary Club and the Beaconsfield Rotary group.
For fitness fans there will be Active Bucks, the Beacon Centre, Sycob Football Club, Alfriston School and pool.
Community Groups include Beaconsfield Town Council, Beaconsfield Twinning Association, The Beaconsfield Society/ BOTRA and Churches Together Beaconsfield.
