Poms win back tro­phy from their Aussie op­po­nents

DOUG Mash’s team of poms from Chiltern For­est Golf Club won back the Don Booth Tro­phy from their Aus­tralian pals from Perth last week.

Booth was a friend of Mash be­fore pass­ing away and the tro­phy has been played for twice in his mem­ory, both times in Aus­tralia. Hav­ing lost the last meet­ing last year, and now be­ing on home soil, Mash’s men were up for the bat­tle and won by three to a half.

Also in the English team were Andy Coyle, Har­vey Mash, Colin Grey, Fred New­ton, Paul Bar­ratt, Paul Killing­ley and Chris Wil­son, while rep­re­sent­ing the Aussies were Pete Martin, Ge­off Thurston, Greg Thurston, Terry Cameron, Brent Car­ring­ton, Rob Brown, Jeff Smith and Brian Addy.
