A NUMBER of dignitaries were at a street party for the Queen’s birthday as pupils from two schools got together to celebrate.

All children and staff from Chalfont Valley E-Act Primary Academy, Amersham, and Denham Green E-Act Primary Academy joined in the party on Thursday June 9, held at Chalfont Valley.

The children were raising money for their school, along with a charity of their choice, by selling cakes they made that were fit for Her Majesty.

The children decorated the school for the party with birthday flags and dressed up in royal regalia.

Deputy mayor of Amersham Town Council, Clive Morgan, South Bucks District Council chairman Duncan Smith and Chiltern District Council chairman Mimi Harker also joined with the fun.
