The Chiltern Harriers-run event, held at Chesham Leisure Centre and Chesham Grammar School, saw local children aged eight to 16 competing in a junior triathlon, involving swimming lengths of the pool, and cycling and running around the school fields.

Heatherton House had eight girls competing and picked up an impressive four medals, including gold for Year 5 pupil Hannah Ashby, and a team gold for her and team mates Ellie Shield and Annie Reynolds.

“I am so impressed with the sporting commitment the Heatherton girls and their families showed,” said Heatherton’s proud PE teacher Caroline Adams.

“We run a hugely popular triathlon club at school, and these results are a testament to all the hard work the girls have put in this term.”
