Village post office is on the move

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - NEWS -

THE POST Office in Great Missenden is moving.

And customers at the new branch, opening at 35 Station Approach, will also see hugely extended opening hours, including all day Sunday and an end to lunchtime closing.

The changes have been agreed with the current postmaster but the date of the move is still to be announced.

The High Street branch will close.

Suzanne Richardson, regional network manager, said: “We are making it easier for customers to get their cash, send and collect their mail and do their banking because we know how important these services are to local residents.

“We are confident that this vibrant new-style Post Office at the heart of the local community will meet customer needs.

“This modernisation is part of a major investment programme, the largest in the history of the Post Office and will secure services for the future.”

It will open as a modern open-plan local style branch and services will be delivered from an openplan till at the convenience store’s counter.

Services would be provided throughout shop opening hours, from Monday to Saturday, 6am – 6pm, and on Sunday from 6am – 2pm.

There will be an extra 43 hours of opening time overall.
