TELE­VI­SION pre­sen­ter An­gela Rip­pon meets res­i­dent Har­riet David­son at the open­ing of Wood­land Manor Care Home, Chal­font St Peter

TV FAVOURITE An­gela Rip­pon was given a warm wel­come as she of­fi­cially opened Porthaven’s Wood­land Manor in Chal­font St Peter.

Ms Rip­pon spoke to a packed room of res­i­dents and in­vited guests about the BBC’s lively and in­for­ma­tive How To Stay Young, her ca­reer and the im­por­tance of en­sur­ing those we love are looked af­ter well as life changes in older age, fol­lowed by a lunch pre­pared by Porthaven chefs.

Ms Rip­pon, is as Alzheimer’s So­ci­ety Am­bas­sador and is a reg­u­lar speaker att Porthaven events as her vi­vac­ity and pos­i­tiv­ity is always ex­tremely pop­u­lar.

Ev­ery bed­room has a fully private wet­room and through­out the care home there is a hair sa­lon, cof­fee shop and a va­ri­ety of din­ing ar­eas, in­clud­ing a private din­ing area for fam­ily cel­e­bra­tions.

There are also lovely land­scaped gar­dens and other out­side ar­eas for res­i­dents, plus a private cin­ema.
