Green show off new pitch in a mighty clash of the Legends
slope, which could be a nightmare in wet weather.
“The new pitch should hold the weather better, and we will hopefully attract players who want to play on a good surface.
“It’s been a huge undertaking and we are grateful to Keith Scott for bringing his Wycombe Legends side down for the official opening.”
The new pitch, which cost a total of £128,476 to lay, was made possible by a £68,194 grant from the Football Stadia Improvement Fund.
However, the club has no plans to make any further ground improvements, despite being denied promotion to the Hellenic Premier due to ground grading.
Latta added: “You always want to play at the highest possible level, but the FA do not make it easy for clubs like us based in green belt land with no chance of getting permission for floodlights or stands.”

The new pitch is officially opened before a match between Penn Legends and Wycombe Wanderers Legends
