In a sim­i­lar vein, Amer­sham won on four rinks and lost just one as they recorded an over­all 143-74 suc­cess in the home leg of their Three Coun­ties League fix­tures against Flack­well Heath, mean­ing they took 10 league points to Flack­well’s two, with Bar­ber, John Cul­ley, Ken Rye, and Gayle Ber­ring­ton bowl­ing the best rink.

It was not all suc­cess this week, how­ever, as Amer­sham had an hor­rific day against Che­sham Broad­way, go­ing down 22-9.

There was also a blus­tery 62-42 mixed triples friendly de­feat to Chal­font St Giles, in which the only win­ning Amer­sham rink came cour­tesy of Wil­son, Mar­ion Hext and Diana Bas­sett.
