Funeral for a ‘true legend’

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - NEWS -

THE funeral details for a grandfather dubbed ‘a true legend’ of Chalfont St Peter have been released.

Ernie Moody, 95, died in June after he was hit by a black Vauxhall Astra, Lower Road, close to the junction with Grange Road.

His son Ken confirmed the funeral will take place at St Mary’s Church, Denham Village, on Wednesday August 10 at 11am.

Tributes have poured in for Mr Moody, who has been described as ‘extraordinary’ and ‘all about fun’ by friends and neighbours, and people who knew him said the village ‘will be empty without him’.

He was a father to John, Brian, Ken and Alan and was known to be devoted to grandson Jaden.

Villagers are hoping a tree will be planted in memory of him.
