CHALFONT ST PETER:
A SUPER-FIT dentist from Chalfont St Peter who tackled his first ever half Ironman to raise money for a local charity finished the race in under seven hours.
Paul Cruci, 58, from Kingsway, who is hoping to raise £3,000 for William’s Fund – a Gerrards Cross based charity that funds research into childhood cancers – completed a 1,900 metre swim in the Thames, a 56 mile bike ride and a half marathon in six hours and 50 minutes.
Dr Cruci, a root canal specialist, raced in the Marlow half iron distance triathlon on Sunday July 17, with his swim taking him 32 minutes, the bike ride three hours 57 and the run two hours 25.
