Cookery skills for kids
CHILDREN can attend a free cookery class in Chesham next week.
Cook for Life is running children’s cookery classes at The Bagnall Centre, in Waterside, Chesham, on Thursday, August 11 and Thursday, August 25 from 11am to 1.30pm.
The cookery classes, aimed at GCSE and A-level students, are entirely nonprofit, neither the organisation nor the chefs make a penny from putting them on.
Edward Phillips from Cook for Life added: “It is entirely about inspiring the next generation of children to cook and to grow a passion for food.”
The Bagnall Centre has offered its cookery classroom at a discounted rate, Riverford Organic food is supplying the vegetables free of charge and the chefs are giving their time for free.
Mr Phillips intends to run these classes throughout the new school year starting in Chesham, and expanding across the county if they are a success.
