NEBULISERS GIFT FOR SURGERY
SOME much needed medical equipment has been presented to a Chesham surgery.
Charitable organisation The Great Berkhamsted District of the Manchester Unity of Oddfellows recently gave Water Meadow Surgery, in Red Lion Street, two nebulisers.
The Oddfellows, founded in 1810 and which used to have a district in Chesham, chose Water Meadow Surgery because it was in need of the equipment and because its Provincial Grand Master Malcolm Alan, and his partner, are patients there.
The group is presenting nebulisers to seven surgeries in the Great Berkhamsted District, including Chesham, and some 14 have already been handed over.
Mr Alan applied for money for the equipment from the Nelson and Doris Seabrook fund, who were founder members of the community charity.
Mr Alan presented the nebulisers to the surgery’s practice manager Steve Benjamin and doctor Fiona Neale on Tuesday July 12.
He said: “They were very pleased and very happy.”
