THE PAST THAT’S IN YOUR FUTURE
There’ll be some history in the making at Chiltern Open Air Museum this August as a series of special events will help visitors discover what life was like many years ago.
First up, costumed reanactors will bring the medieval period to life on August 13 and August 14.
Vikings will be invading the museum for the third time on August 20 and 21 and you can have the chance to meet the warriors, their weapons and battle gear, hear the sounds of the melee and witness the Viking victory retold in a saga of the battle.
And on bank holiday Sunday and Monday (August 28 and 29) find out about life in Tudor Times and gather with the Militia to oppose the Armada in a family-friendly living history event.
Visitor experience manager Siân Hammerton-Fraser said: “We’re delighted to be able to bring this period of history to life for our visitors.”
