Discover a ‘kinder, happier life’
A NEW course to help make Buckinghamshire a happier and more caring place is to be held in Chesham from next month.
A new eight-week course called Exploring What Matters will start at The Bagnall Centre, in Waterside, Chesham, on Tuesday, September 23, to help people discover how to live a happier and kinder life.
The course has been developed by Action for Happiness, a UK-based movement of people taking action for a happier world, which has about 60,000 members.
The course, which is open to people of all background, is backed by the Dalai Lama, who said: “As patron of Action for Happiness I’m delighted to see the work being done by members of this movement to create a happier and more caring society.”
Sheila Sather and Sonja Antell, who are leading the course in Chesham, said: “We are very pleased to be running this course because it is unique in the way it is run by volunteers. Our belief is that it will help people re-think what is important in life.”
In Exploring What Matters, local groups meet for eight weeks, with each session exploring a big question. They start with ‘what really matters in life?’ and then ‘what really makes us happy.’
