Art event is on the right track
CHILDREN got creative to produce a variety of work during their school’s art fortnight.
Thomas Harding School in Fullers Hill, Chesham, recently held its annual art fortnight.
The theme this year was The Railway Children.
Over the two weeks, the children used their art and English skills to produce ‘fantastic’ pieces of art work and writing based on the stimulus.
The Image Theatre visited the school and pupils got involved with their interactive production of The Railway Children. Local artists Louise Hickman and Tony Moody visited school to perform workshops and Debra Francis Bean explained in an assembly what it is like to be an artist.
Head of art and design at Chiltern Hills Academy Sarah Geary visited Thomas Harding School with some Year Nine pupils who worked with the children to create some amazing artwork.
