Music lovers enjoy a spot of park life
Chesham Town Council’s Bands in the Park 2016 series continued on Sunday afternoon (August 14) with music from The Chinnor Silver Band.
The Chinnor Silver Band is based in the village of Chinnor in South Oxfordshire.
It was formed in 1850 and plays a wide range of music from traditional brass band and classical pieces to modern rock and pop. The band, which has about 25 players, provides entertainment throughout the year at fetes, garden parties, concerts and more and has also performed on television and in advertisements.
Chesham Town Council’s Bands in the Park series sees free concerts performed in Lowndes Park every Sunday in July and August from 2.30pm to 4.30pm.
The series continues on Sunday (August 21) with music from Lou’s Sextet followed by Syncopated Jazz on Sunday, August 28.
