A vintage year for classic car show
Record numbers at Gerrards Cross event featuring guest appearance from latest Tesla Model S
Held on Wednesday of last week, the show is a triple venture between the Abbeyfield Gerrards Cross Society, the Gerrards Cross Memorial Centre and the rotary club.
And the show has consistently grown in numbers since it started in 2009.
All of the vehicles were pre-1989 and included MG Morgans, Rolls Royces, Jaguars and Bentleys as well as a display of vintage bicycles.
The only exception to the age restriction was a special guest appearance by Tesla who brought along their latest Model S.
Suzie Bower from the memorial centre said: “This was a great afternoon for the whole family. We have many familiar faces who are regular attendees at the Classic Car show and lots of new visitors too which is wonderful.”
Peter Prosser and Gerry Hoare who run the event were delighted with the turn out.
They said: “The sunshine certainly helps but this is an established Classic Car event now and grows from strength to strength each year – we had over 350 visitors today and many proud owners happy to share the history of their vehicles.”
