ON OLYMPIC EFFORT FROM SIGNING TOTS
Fun at an Olympic-themed fundraiser for mums and tots at Chilterns TinyTalk group
TinyTalk Chilterns, which delivers baby signing classes, helped raise money for The Rainbow Trust by holding special Olympic themed sessions at Waterstones, in High Street, Chesham, on Monday.
With lively nursery multisensory and instruments, babies, toddlers and their parents and carers in Chesham got active and learnt Olympic themed signs at the event. The sessions, one for babies aged 0 to 18 months and one for toddles, were supported by Waterstones. a mix of rhymes, toys TinyTalk Chesham Berkhamsted Silverstone teacher in and Laura said: “When teaching signs to babies it’s important to sign in context. Our mantra is ‘See it, Say it and sign it.’
“It would be great to watch some of the Olympics with your baby or toddler and actually for them back.
“I love helping my mums and dads support their children’s communication skills. Being a TinyTalk teacher is so worthwhile as I know that I make a difference to the lives of my families. The benefit of teaching your baby to sign, to be able to communicate with you from such an early age, is priceless.
“It was great that we were able to fundraise for The Rainbow Trust by doing these sessions. Tinytalk has supported the charity for a few years.
“It helps care for families with a child with a terminal or life threatening illness and is sadly close to many of our families hearts.”
Families paid a £2 donation to The Rainbow Trust take part in the special sessions. to communicate
