Double delight for twins going to different unis
THERE was double A level success for two sets of twins at Chesham Grammar School.
Twins Georgie and Emma Middleton, 18, from Great Missenden, are celebrating after racking up four A*s and two As between them.
Georgie gained three A*s in history, English literature and sociology and is going to Exeter University to studyy history.y
She said: “I’m overwhelmed, it’s amazing. I wasn’t expecting these results at all, I’m really happy.”
Emma, the older twin by about two minutes, got an A* in English literature and As in geography and biology. She is going to Cambridge University to study geography.
Emma said: “I’m really pleased and I’m looking forward to going to university.”
The twins said they are going to miss each other.
They y added: “It’s goingg g to be quite hard because they’re quite far away, but we’ll just have to keep going to see each other on the train.”
Another set of twins at the school Chloe and Laura Snell, 18, from Prestwood, are also celebrating after also getting four A*s and two As between them.
Chloe got two A*s in history and English literature and an A in geography and is going to Exeter University to study English literature.
She said: “I can’t believe
it! They’re better than expected.”
Sister Laura got two A*s and an A in maths, geography and biology and is going to Southampton University to study geography. She said: “I’m very happy, I’m elated! Now I just want to go to bed!”
The twins are also not looking forward to living apart. Laura said: “We’re really going to miss each other, we’ve only been apart for five days maximum before!”
