Asare added: “My main aim is to get three of my play­ers through to the first team, but I’m also a com­pet­i­tive guy, and I want a top half fin­ish, per­haps even top six.

“We’ve got pretty much a whole new team in, tak­ing their first steps in se­nior football, which is a big gra­di­ent. But they’re a good bunch and they’re learn­ing with ev­ery game we play.”

Che­sham are next in ac­tion this Satur­day when they travel to Lang­ford. In the Premier Di­vi­sion, Holmer Green had no game but they host St Mar­gets­bury this Satur­day.

In Di­vi­sion Two, Amer­sham Town won their first game of the sea­son, Do­minick Carty scor­ing the only goal of the game at The 61FC (Lu­ton). They visit Tot­tern­hoe this Satur­day be­fore host­ing As­ton Clin­ton on Mon­day.
