Ashington Page enjoying traditional British summer and supporting charity
AT Ashington Page we are delighted with our newly created British Summer window display. It is the creation of one of our Sales Support Staff, Nicki Toay, who has designed our last two award-winning Christmas window displays. If you have not seen it yet, please do come along – it is well worth a visit!
To tie in with the theme we have launched a competition to keep the kids busy over their Summer break. The competition will run until Saturday September 10.We will have a drawing of our window display available to collect from our office; simply colour in the picture and find the hidden key in the window display. Be warned, each week the location of the key will change in the window so you need to pop down to the office once a week and search for the key’s new location and mark it on your picture.
The winner will be the child with the most correct key locations. In the event of a tie, the artist of the best coloured picture will be crowned the winner – this will be decided by our panel of established ‘artists’ (the Ashington Page team)! and the prize is a hamper full of toys and sweets which you can also see in one of our windows.
Knowing that colouring is the new craze for children of all ages, adults may also like to enter the colouring competition and we have a prize for the best adult artist!
Alongside our summer competition we will be running two cake sales. The first was on August 13 (but don’t worry if you missed it the Ashington Page team will soon be baking again) and the second is on September 10. We are raising money for School Aid – a local charity based in Hedgerley which sends school books and other educational resources directly to schools in need in Africa. We are running a guess the weight of the fruit cake competition and, not forgetting the children, a guess the number of sweets in the jar competition with the winners of the competitions taking home the cake and sweets!
So please come down to our office at 4 Burkes Parade, Beaconsfield, enjoy the window display, take part in the competitions and support School Aid.
If you are around on September 10, then do come and sample our home made cakes and support this most worthwhile charity
