VILLAGE USED AS RACE TRACK

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - OPINION -

NAME AND ADDRESS WITHHELD THE road through the Village of Hyde Heath from the B485 is constantly used as a race track.

This road passes a primary school and a few hundred yards beyond is a residential care home.

We as a community have been trying desperately for many years to have flashing lights outside the school, an average speed camera which will automatically check the speed and issue a fine or road calming humps.

Transport for Bucks will not agree to any of these requests until there is a fatality.

There are no street lights in the village and in some areas no path- ways, particularly along Weedon Hill which is the main road through the village.

I cannot find words strong enough to highlight the fact that money and bureaucracy comes before lives and someone has to lose a life to implement a simple solution.
