Once it is approved by the village, future Chalfont St Peter applications for planning permission to Chiltern District Council must generally be approved or refused in accordance with our plan.
What’s more, South Bucks and Chiltern District Councils are currently busy preparing their joint Local Plan up to 2036 and we need our Neighbourhood Plan in place for the district planners to take it into account.
A second referendum is only necessary because of a single change – Winkers Night Club will no longer be included as a community facility.
Polling cards have been sent out by Chiltern District Council to all households in the village, and a leaflet drop will see every house receive a reminder.
I hope all residents will again make some time to cast their vote on September 8 in favour of our Neighbourhood Plan, at their usual polling stations.
