Accused of blowing up cashpoint
A MAN from Chalfont St Giles has been charged with conspiracy to burgle after an ATM was blown up at a petrol station in Denham Green.
Gary Mills, 39, of Fleetwood Close, along with Trevor McCarthy, 42, of Barlby Road, Ladbroke Grove, West London and Ray Abraham, 36 of Hobart Drive, Hythe, Southampton, appeared in custody at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, September 10. They were remanded in custody to next appear at Kingston Crown Court on Friday, October 7.
All three were arrested at around 11.30pm on Thursday, September 8 at the petrol station on North Orbital Road.
An explosion at the cashpoint caused firefighters from Gerrards Cross to race to North Orbital Road at around 11.45pm where the crew had to isolate the petrol pumps.
