Out to Africa with char­ity funds from es­tate agency

AN ES­TATE agents raised £300.50 for char­ity.

Ash­ing­ton Page, Bea­cons­field, held a num­ber of events through­out Au­gust and Septem­ber, such as cake sales com­pe­ti­tions in­clud­ing guess the weight of the cake and how many sweets in the jar, and chose School Aid as one of the char­i­ties they wished to sup­port this year.

The Hedger­ley based or­gan­i­sa­tion re-cy­cles good qual­ity books and ed­u­ca­tional ma­te­ri­als to send out to schools and com­mu­ni­ties in Africa.

Jane Perry, vol­un­teer with the char­ity, re­cently sold her house with Ash­ing­ton Page and was de­lighted that they had cho­sen to sup­port School Aid. She said that the money raised will go towards the var­i­ous li­brary projects in Africa.

School Aid is seek­ing vol­un­teers to help sort and pack books at their very friendly ware­house in Hedger­ley.
