GULLIVER’S Milton Keynes

FAMILY run theme park company Gulliver’s is once again gearing up to help local families in crisis by asking customers to donate a food bank item in exchange for discounted entry to the theme park.

Over the weekend of Saturday October 8 and Sunday October 9, Gulliver’s will host its second food bank donation weekend for 2016, working in partnership with local food banks and organisations including the Trussell Trust.

Figures from The Trussell Trust show its network of 424 UK food banks gave out 1,109,309 three-day food parcels to people in crisis between April 1 2015 and March 31 2016, up by 2% on the previous year.

Entry to Gulliver’s family theme park in Milton Keynes will be £9 per person throughout the weekend as long as everyone hands over a suitable non-perishable item of food or drink on arrival. Suitable items include tins, cereals, fruit juice, tea bags, tinned meat and fish, dried pasta, rice and biscuits.
