THE men’s team at Oak­land Park Golf Club have, for the first time, reached the semi-fi­nal stage of the Chiltern Break­fast League emerg­ing as run­ners up in Di­vi­sion B.

To reach the semis, they se­cured an em­phatic 6-0 vic­tory against Ch­es­field Downs, and so ended the sea­son just one point be­hind league win­ners Water­stock.

ERICA Broad­ment won the Jac’s Putting Tro­phy at Wex­ham Park Golf Club with a to­tal of 26 putts, while Pam Tibballs was sec­ond with 29 and Abi Morgan third with 31.

SI­MON Martin won Chorleywood Golf Club’s Oc­to­ber monthly stable­ford with 38 points.

The Ben­nett Tro­phy, for high hand­i­cap en­trants, was won by David Gard­ner, who came sec­ond with 37 points – the same as David An­der­son in third.

Mean­while, Sue Knight won the first round of the ladies’ Smurth­waite Bowl, and go­ing into the sec­ond and fi­nal round, she leads on 44 stable­ford points from Laura Sil­verdale (42) and Jane Bowler (38).
