Our favourite chef has popped up with a new venture
Hand & Flowers chef pairing delicious food with classic films
FOODIES and cinema fans are going to love this...celebrity chef Tom Kerridge, of The Hand and Flowers fame, is joining forces with some friends to provide the ultimate foodie film experience.
For one month only, Tom Kerridge and friends are inviting moviegoers to experience the area’s first pop-up cinema.
An accidental idea brought to life in a local pub by four mates discussing their favourite food and movies – The Pop Up Picture House in Marlow is set to be a mouth-watering movie experience like no other.
Prepare to be treated to delicious, wholesome comfort food while watching Tom and his friends’ favourite films in a comfy, home-like environment. The Picture House will be popping up in the Old Town Hall, in Marlow.
Screening a variety of films including cult hits, Christmas classics and family favourites, it promises to be a gastronomic delight.
The one-month popup will launch on De- cember 1, with tickets going on sale from next month.
Sadly, ticket prices seem to be a secret at the moment but they will include a twocourse meal plus interval ice-cream served by usherette and, of course, the film.
The food will be in keeping with the theme of the film – think traditionally-made lasagne served in front of The Italian Job from the comfort of your sofa.
With help from Marlow locals – Mark James of Unicorn Productions, Chris Hughes of Brand Events and Ben Phillips of Steamer Trading – The Pop Up Picture House will include Saturday morning screenings and matinee movies for kids with the kind of food and snacks they love to make it an extraspecial experience.
For older viewers there will also be a bar with a selection of real ales and lagers, both on draught and by the bottle, individual and artisan house spirits and a wide selection of wines.
Details of films to be shown will be released on October 27.
Tickets go on sale on Tuesday November 8, for priority booking and to find out more visit www. picture-house.co.uk.
