WYCOMBE SITTING PRETTY

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - NEWS -

WYCOMBE SRC 1s are the early season leaders of the 2016-17 Bucks Squash league.

Strugglers last year, Wycombe are fielding a more settled side this time around and have a 100 per cent record over the first four games of the Division One campaign.

A maximum-points win over newly promoted Aylesbury 1s was followed by a hard-fought 3-2 success over another of the new boys Racquets 1s.

Back-to-back 4-1 wins over old rivals Holmer Green and Chesham Bois 1A have sustained the early momentum.

Defending Champions Aylesbury Grammar School are hot on the heels of the leaders.

Division Two has a familiar look with Chesham Bois Mavericks leading from WSRC 2s. In Division 3, Aylesbury 2s and 3s lead from WSRC 4s.

The ladies’ leagues see newcomers Combined Oxfordshire winning the only Division One match staged so far against Tring, while Wycombe Kites 3s sit top of Division Two.
