PAT O’Reilly won a high-class bat­tle of the top two in week four of the Su­per Sin­gles Darts League.

O’Reilly top­pled the pre­vi­ously un­beaten Blaine Jelly 6-4, de­spite the lat­ter hit­ting his third 180 of the sea­son in a game char­ac­ter­ized by heavy scor­ing.

Leigh Ross is back up to third place fol­low­ing a spec­tac­u­lar 6-4 win over Andy Long.

Two other matches pro­duced em­phatic wins, Steve McLeod thrash­ing Trevor Br­ere­ton 9-1 and Mark Luck­ett beat­ing Keith Carter by the same score.

Points were shared in the other two games, Mark Del­lar and Paul Tubbs draw­ing 5-5, as did Leigh Birch and John Beat­tie.
