BETTER OFF THAN EVER BEFORE

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - OPINION - MRS ROSE WHITEHEAD Woodside Close Chalfont St Peter

IT saddens me when I hear people refer to the past as ‘the good old days’.

I believe we are better off than our forebears.

Our life expectancy is much longer and medicine has greatly advanced.

We are mostly housed, fed and educated and although our society is not perfect, we try to look after the weak and needy.

We are more tolerant and understanding of differences and most of us are caring and re- sponsible enough to try to build a better world for this generation and the next.
