ES­THER Mor­ley and Amy Wat­ters lifted this year’s Gilders Cup at Oak­land Park with a score of 43.

In a closely-fought com­pe­ti­tion, there was a three-way tie for sec­ond place, but a count back de­cided in favour of Sheila Cathrow and Tracy Lane. They scored 41, along with Judy O’Ke­effe and Sue Tame in third, and Carol Fen­wick and Mar­garet Fish­ley in fourth.

TWO events were held at Chorleywood Golf Club at the week­end to raise funds for SPACE, a char­ity that sup­ports the par­ents of chil­dren who have autis­tic spec­trum dis­or­der.

On Satur­day, the Cap­tain’s Char­ity and Monthly Sta­ble­ford was won by Chris Owen (42 pts) from Michael Bowler (38) and An­drew Bowler (35). On Sun­day, cap­tain John Blanchard and trea­surer Paul Bayes took on and de­feated all-comers in a nine-hole bet­ter ball sta­ble­ford.

MID­WEEK Sta­ble­ford: 1. Michael Hutchins 40 pts; 2. Mike Shaw 39 pts; 3. Michael Bowler 35 pts.

LIT­TLE HAY GC

JU­NIOR Dong won the Ju­niors Medal at Lit­tle Hay Golf Club this week with a nett score of 52, re­sult­ing in a hand­i­cap cut from 34 to 22.

Karl Burn won Di­vi­sion One of the Men’s Medal with a nett 64, seven strokes ahead, while Di­vi­sion Two was won by Martin Evans with a nett 68, one stroke ahead of Trevor V Sar­gent. In the Se­nior’s Medal, Den­nis War­ren won by a point from Frank Kli­maszewski and Mick Miln, while the Ladies’ Medal was won by Chris Wood­cock with nett 69, and the Busi­ness Ladies Medal by Dor­cas Kindinger (nett 70).
