A BONANZA of tries saw Beaconsfield RFC take the M40 bragging rights with a 39-8 win at High Wycombe on Saturday.

It also meant they secured a fourth win in a row, taking them up to third in the Southern Counties North ahead of this weekend’s game against the team above them in second – Marlow.

Beaconsfield began strongly with an early try from centre Freddie Pugh, but although Wycombe drew level with a try and took the lead with a penalty, that was as good as it got for the hosts.

Second row Sean Morgan provided a timely pass for wing wonder Druju Labri to restore Beaconsfield’s advantage before Callum Wilkinson forced his way over to the right of the post to make it 17-8 at half time.

Further tries were added in the second half from second row Jack Hopkins, forward Joe Brawn and full-back Louis Prow as Beaconsfield increased their dominance in attack, passing with remarkable timing and accuracy.

Somewhat inevitably, Druju was not going to be content with one try, and he added a second as well, to take his personal tally to 13 tries in his last four games and sew up the victory.
