CHE­SHAM All Girls Band cel­e­brated its 35th an­niver­sary with a big party and awards cer­e­mony at­tended by mem­bers past and present, with mes­sages of con­grat­u­la­tions com­ing from around the world.

Chiltern District Coun­cil’s chair­man Mimi Harker was the spe­cial guest and she pre­sented each mem­ber with a spe­cial 35th com­mem­o­ra­tive award.

PEO­PLE en­joy­ing a Sun­day lunch at a Beaconsfield restau­rant were show­ered with glass when a chan­de­lier fell from the ceil­ing.

The in­ci­dent hap­pened on Fe­bru­ary 7 at the Bras­seire Blanc restau­rant in Lon­don End, owned by celebrity chef Ray­mond Blanc. No one was se­ri­ously hurt.

A COUN­CIL­LOR faced her fear of water to swim a width un­aided for char­ity.

Chair­man of Chiltern District Coun­cil Mimi Harker started to learn to swim the ‘Bet­ter’ way at Che­sham Leisure Cen­tre, in White Hill, in Septem­ber 2015.

Mrs Harker has had a fear of water af­ter an in­ci­dent at school aged seven.
