House prices in Bucks av­er­age £403k and ris­ing

HOUSE prices in Bucks are ris­ing at more than £100 a day.

Across Buck­ing­hamshire, the av­er­age price was £403,984 in De­cem­ber 2016, a rise of 11.1% or £40,235 in a year, the equiv­a­lent of prices ris­ing £110 a day.

Chiltern district has seen prices rise by 10.2% or £50,980 in a year, or £140 a day, while prices in Wycombe were up 10.8% or £38,125, or £104 per day, and up 13.1% in Ayles­bury Vale, that is £38,018 in a year or £104 per day.

Av­er­age house prices in the UK in­creased by 7.2% in the year to De­cem­ber 2016 (up from 6.1% in the year to Novem­ber 2016), con­tin­u­ing the strong growth seen since the end of 2013.

How­ever, an­nual growth has been weaker in the sec­ond half of 2016 com­pared with the first half of the year.

The av­er­age UK house price was £220,000 in De­cem­ber 2016. This is £15,000 higher than in De­cem­ber 2015 and £3,000 higher than last month.

Growth in the south­east was sec­ond high­est at 8.5%, fol­lowed by London at 7.5%. The low­est an­nual growth was in the north-east, where prices in­creased by 4.1% over the year.
