PHOENIX Club are the new lead­ers of the Wycombe & Amer­sham Darts League.

Phoenix soared to the sum­mit of Di­vi­sion One af­ter thrash­ing Winch­more Hill CC 13-1 in week 14’s ac­tion.

The mar­gin of their vic­tory was enough to see them climb a point ahead of Penn & Tylers Green SC de­spite the pre­vi­ous lead­ers win­ning a high-qual­ity game against Ha­zle­mere CC 8-6.

Ja­son Hine and Dar­ran Hoare both hit 180s for Penn and Dan Franzen pro­duced the out­shot of the night for the vic­tors, a 117 in his sin­gles win over Dean Jor­dan.

Ha­zle­mere bat­tled all the way though, with Jor­dan hav­ing ear­lier hit two max­i­mums dur­ing his win in the pairs.

Eric Harper was an­other player in great form, hit­ting three 180s, for his River­side Club side in their match against Holmer Green Le­gion.

Dave Farthing replied with a max­i­mum of his own for Holmer but River­side won 8-6 to stay third.

Cres­sex CC C now lead Di­vi­sion Two by 13 points af­ter they beat Judo Club 9-5 while near­est pur­suers Holmer Green Le­gion C were crash­ing 10-4 by an in­form Marsh Le­gion.

Cres­sex CC E are a fur­ther seven points adrift af­ter their tough start to 2017 con­tin­ued with a 7-7 draw against Holmer Green Le­gion B.

At the other end of the ta­ble, the Squir­rel’s im­prove­ment con­tin­ued as they beat Bourne End 11-3 to reg­is­ter their sec­ond win of the sea­son.
