something positive to aid the victims of the Grenfell Tower tragedy.

A bouncy castle, face painting, and fun and games put smiles on faces, and organisers said the event was a success.

Despite some inclement weather on the day, the event was well supported by parents, staff and the local community.

The nursery is still counting the money raised, but confirmed it is more than £1,000.

Sarah, owner and director of Beaconsfield Childcare, said: “I felt it was important to mark the anniversary of the fire in a positive way, and do something to help others in need, as we now have a beautiful building.

“We’ve also had a lot of support from everyone along the way, which we really appreciated, so it felt a good way to celebrate our community.”
