Vin­tage Cin­ema’s on the search for stars

Chiltern Vin­tage Cin­ema on the hunt for lo­cals to cre­ate unique film ex­pe­ri­ence

The com­pany be­hind Bucks’ unique pop-up cin­ema nights is look­ing for lo­cal tal­ented in­di­vid­u­als or groups it can part­ner with to help bring its un­usual cin­e­matic ex­pe­ri­ences to life.

Or­gan­is­ers want singers, co­me­di­ans, ma­gi­cians and any­one else who thinks they have a tal­ent. With a new sea­son of cin­ema hits in quirky lo­ca­tions un­der­way Chiltern Vin­tage Cin­ema has so far set up two screen­ing nights where it has joined forces with lo­cal tal­ent, in­clud­ing se­cur­ing the ser­vices of a brass band to bring Brassed Off to life.

Dar­ren Hen­der­son, founder of Vin­tage Cin­ema said: “We’ve just had a great open­ing night at Holy Trin­ity church in Prest­wood on July 12 where a screen­ing of Grease (sing-a-long) saw the au­di­ence dressed to im­press, a com­pere got the crowd singing along and we saw a spe­cial live per­for­mance from Jade Cheyenne, from Che­sham.”

Dar­ren added: “We also have a bril­liant night planned at Kings Chapel, The Kings Arms in Old Amer­sham on Septem­ber 21 where we will be show­ing Brassed Off with a live per­for­mance from The Chiltern Hills Brass Band, whilst the au­di­ence tuck into their pie, mash and gravy. There are plenty more nights like this in the pipe­line so if any­one or any group is in­ter­ested in work­ing with us please get in touch.”
