Chernobyl children swing into golf
EIGHT children brought over from Chernobyl to the UK for a respite break by a local charity enjoyed a day at Harewood Downs Golf Club.
The visitors were staying with local host families and enjoyed a wide variety of activities during their three-week visit.
Evie Ing, the assistant professional at Harewood Downs, gave the children a golf lesson, which was swiftly followed by a putting competition.
The children were said to have had a wonderful time and rounded off their visit with lunch and ice cream.
