Pedestrian killed in lorry collision
AN elderly woman died after being struck by a lorry on Monday morning (November 6).
Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following the collision in Chalfont St Peter.
The incident took place at about 10.40am in Market Place.
The 71-year-old pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene and her next of kin have been informed.
No arrests have been made and police appealed for witnesses.
Inspector Scott Long of the joint operations unit for roads policing said on Monday morning: “We are at the scene of the collision in which a woman sadly died and an investigation into the circumstances is taking place.
“Road closures are in place and I would ask people to avoid the area.
