Tom’s giv­ing the lo­cal a foodie twist

Pop­u­lar pub in the park re­turns to Mar­low

FOL­LOW­ING a sell-out de­but last year, Pub in the Park re­turns to Hig­gin­son Park, Mar­low bring­ing lo­cals a laid-back sum­mer cel­e­bra­tion of the very best food, drink and mu­sic, hosted by Tom Ker­ridge.

Tom will be bring­ing his fa­mous Miche­lin­starred pubs The Hand & Flow­ers and The Coach, serv­ing up de­li­cious taster plates, with some­thing for ev­ery­one.

Tom’s menu high­lights will in­clude Smoked Had­dock with Arnold Ben­nett style Gourg­ere, Braised Beef Brisket with char­grilled baby gem and Hand & Flow­ers salad cream, and Sriracha and Sesame Chicken Fried Bao with spiced sea­weed salt and pick­led Chi­nese cab­bage.

Join­ing Tom, will be his fel­low chef mates, plus a se­lec­tion of other top UK pubs, of­fer­ing their most pop­u­lar dishes, in­clud­ing Paul Ainsworth Restau­rants, Sindhu, The Hard­wick, The Wig­more, The Pony & Trap and Bern­ers Tav­ern, The Swan Inn, Mid­sum­mer House, The Crown At Bray and The Star Inn.

Fes­ti­val-go­ers will be able to get all the top tips and tricks of the trade from the best UK chefs, with demon­stra­tions from Josh Eg­gle­ton, Paul Ainsworth and of course, Tom him­self as well as en­joy­ing drinks from the fes­ti­val bars serv­ing ev­ery tip­ple from Saxby’s craft cider to Sip­smith’s ar­ti­san gin.

Not for­get­ting a chart-top­ping mu­sic line-up with Ra­zorlight, Jamie Cul­lum, Texas, Melanie C, Will Young and more tak­ing to the stage through­out the day and evening.

The fes­ti­val will be packed with more than just tasty food and drink. Ex­pect loads of shop­ping op­por­tu­ni­ties from kitchen­ware, home­ware, food and drink brands, as well as wine tast­ings and mas­ter­classes; if gin is your thing be sure to swing past the Sip­smith Gin Palace to sam­ple a cock­tail or two. If you’re bring­ing the whole fam­ily, there will be some fes­ti­val fun for the lit­tle ones too with pop­u­lar kid’s film screen­ings and a place for them to ex­plore and play.

Tick­ets for the Fri­day evening, all Satur­day and Sun­day af­ter­noon ses­sions sold out within hours of go­ing on sale, but we’re so ex­cited to be able tell you that a limited num­ber of ad­di­tional tick­ets for these ses­sions will be re­leased at 10am on Fri­day 20 April – re­mem­ber to go on­line to get yours be­fore they sell out, again.
