It’s time for some autumn adventures
The National Trust has lots on its to do list for the season ahead, including some Halloween happenings...
AUTUMN is the perfect time to get outside with the family and create unforgettable moments this October half-term.
With all kinds of family-friendly events, woodland adventure days and spooktacular Halloween trails on offer, the kids won’t get bored.
Every visit to a National Trust property this autumn contributes to looking after these special places for ever, for everyone.
Here are the top half-term and Hallowe’en events to tick off this autumn in Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire.
Halloween trail & craft October 22 – 26, 10am-4pm Join us at the visitor centre to make spooky crafts and follow our Halloween trail. Cost: £3 per child

Halloween storytelling October 25 &26, 3.30pm-5.30pm Enjoy a spooky story, a walk through the woods and some marshmallow toasting Cost: £2.50 Booking: 0344 249 1895
Halloween: the Bats’ Lair October 20 -28, 10am-2.30pm Swarm around the grounds, solving spooky challenges along the way. Cost: £3
Halloween pumpkin carving October 22 – 26, 10am-4pm Carve your very own pumpkin to take home with you. Cost: £4 per child
Halloween trail October 20 - 28, 10am-4pm Follow the spooky pumpkin trail to discover the story of Persephone and her link to the underworld. Cost: £2 per trail
Fête worse than death. October 28 & 29, 10am - 4pm Waddesdon was famous for its parties, so where better for a ghoulish Halloween celebration? This two-day party will be filled with petrifying party games, frightening face painting, spooky stalls, live music and much more. Brave adventurers can also try the Creatures of the Night trail through the woods – can you find a Snugglewump, a Bumrox or a Tattooed Thunder-Cat? Cost: Normal admission applies. Additional charges apply for some activities.
