ACCLAIMED chef Atul Kochhar has announced the latest line up for his 2018 Chef Season which will seen some of the top names in the culinary world come to Amersham.
Chef Kocchar’s upcoming Chef Season is a roll call of the UK’s leading chefs, with collaborations that promise to ‘wield exciting new flavour combinations and delicious dishes’.
Renowned Michelin starred chefs, Jun Tanaka and Galton Blackiston are the latest to join him in the kitchens of Hawkyns at The Crown in Old Amersham for exciting Chef Season collaborations.
Chef Kochhar said: “When chefs come together something magical happens and I’m thrilled to be embarking on these new chef collaborations.
“I’m sure they’ll be some tales to tell from the kitchens as we infuse our global culinary influence to cre- ate captivating cuisine.”
Jun Tanaka will be cooking up a feast at Hawkyns on October 10.
American born, Japanese-British chef Tanaka has become household name in the restaurant industry and a recognised television personality with stints on BBC One’s Saturday Kitchen and UKTV’s Great Food Live.
With over 20 years at top London restaurants, Tanaka cut his teeth at Le Gavroche under the Roux Brothers and continued his classic French training at The Restaurant Marco Pierre White and The Square under Phillip Howard.
Following on Galton Blackiston will be in town on November 20.
A life-long champion of Norfolk produce, Blackiston has been at the top of his culinary game for over 20 years at Morston Hall. Working from the mantra ‘simple things done well are better than complicated things done badly’, Blackiston believes above all in consistency, and letting fine, fresh produce speak for themselves. And his success speaks for itself, he has held a Michelin star for the last 18 years.
