CHILTERN Har­ri­ers had a fine day at the Na­tional Road Re­lay Cham­pi­onships at Sut­ton Park, Sut­ton Cold­field, on Satur­day.

Four of the five age group A teams fin­ished in the top 10 and both U13s teams won sil­ver medals.

In the U13 boys, Euan Pin­der led off for the A team and ran well for 18th place in 14.16 on the 3.88k cir­cuit com­mon to all age groups.

Thomas Red­mond fin­ished in se­cond place in a great time of 13.22. Leon Do­ran was able to keep hold of se­cond with a ma­ture run of 14.12.

The B team also did well, Rowan Gawne (14.54), Max Bax­ter (14.30), and Archie Pin­der (15.50) fin­ish­ing in 29th place from the 64 com­plete teams. The C team of Sammy Ben­netts (15.06), Isaac Jes­sop-Tran­ter (16.40) and Fred­die Emery (16.55) fin­ished 52nd.

In the U13 girls, Frankie Bax­ter con­firmed her good early sea­son form and fin­ished in se­cond place on leg one in 14.09.

Ella Botha took the lead on leg two with 14.52 and Lesedi Nkoane held onto se­cond on leg three with 14.40.

The B team saw Mad­die Hughes (15.23), El­lie Shield (16.46) and Savar­nah Pandya (18.02) fin­ish 34th from 46 teams.

The U15 girls fin­ished fifth at the South­ern Re­lays in Septem­ber.

Orla Wil­liams took on the first leg and ran well for 12th place in 14.17. Holly Hen­der­son (14.41) moved up to fourth and Ab­bie Hen­der­son (14.33) con­sol­i­dated that po­si­tion.

The U15 boys’ A team of Finn O’Brien (13.52), Nathan Hack­ley (13.03) and Louis Peter­son (13.06) ran well to fin­ish 13th from the 68 teams.

The B team of Char­lie Stone (14.08), James Wat­son (14.00), and Jamie Carruthers (14.11) did well for 38th.

The U17 Men’s race saw the A team run well for ninth out of 58 teams. An­gus Wil­liams led off with a good run of 12.10 for eighth place. Alex John­son ran 12.35 to fin­ish ninth and Tommy Davies (12.29) con­sol­i­dated their place.
