Church group plea for items to help needy

IF you have any unwanted clothes and other items that could help people in need, a church organisation in Swadlincote wants you to bring them along to an event today.

Churches Together in Swadlincote and District is looking for support for its Harvest Challenge.

It wants unwanted clothes, sleeping bags, tents and non-perishable food.

Today’s event runs from 10.30am to 12.30pm and will be held at Swadlincote’s Market Hall (pictured).

There will be free refreshments, entertainment including local school choirs and a magician, and speakers.
